      Entretien

At first, the interview process was going smoothly. I had a screening call with the head of HR who then scheduled me for an interview with the hiring manager. I thought the interview with the hiring manager went well as I had a lot of the qualifications and experience they were looking for and the hiring manager seemed excited as well. I was told I would hear back from the head of HR early the following week for next steps, which to me seemed like a positive way to end the interview. I sent a follow up email thanking the hiring manager for their time and that I was looking forward to next steps. The next week came and went with no response. I sent another email emphasizing my interest and inquiring if there was anything else they needed from me. Another 2 weeks went by with no response and I never heard from them again. I found it extremely unprofessional to ghost someone who spent the time preparing for the interview and researching the company. I would have hoped to be contacted whether they were interested in moving forward with me or not. This isn't a dating app - this is a reflection of the company as a whole. I hope that K1x does better for its candidates moving forward.

There was the initial call with the VP People and Operations and she setup a few interviews with others. The next two calls went well and the person to whom I would be reporting was excited. The final call was with the President and CRO. Both individuals were pleasant, but the conversation turned quickly when the requirements of the CRO were out of line with the job requirements. I have done this job for decades, but he was looking for something that nobody else had brought up. I understand his concerns, but the person he is looking for most likely doesn't exist - hence why the position is still open today months later. After the interview, I emailed the VP and asked what the next steps would be. When I didn't hear back after a few days, I emailed her again and withdrew my candidacy. I was in the process of deciding between two other offers, so I wasn't going to accept the offer anyway. I thought it was unprofessional to ghost a candidate after 4 interviews.
