The interview process was initially positive, and expectations around timeline were clearly communicated. I was told I would receive an update by a specific day, but that timeline passed without any communication.
After following up, I was then informed that I was no longer being considered for the role. While I appreciate the eventual response, it would have been helpful to receive that update proactively rather than needing to reach out.
Overall, a good initial interaction, but communication and follow through could be improved to create a more respectful candidate experience.

I was referred to this role by someone who works at the company. I have 5 years of CS experience from a Big Tech company so applying to something on a jr level, I had confidence that I wouldn't have a problem. This role is seen as an entry level role ( $75K and 1 year of experience ) that supports the Account Manager in managing clients.
I applied then had a phone screening a week later. It was basic and easy. Then I interviewed with one of the Managers. It was extremely casual and very easy. He only asked me one question " what would you do if a customer was upset" I said I would get feedback from the customer then try to look for solutions or other resources to educate them on how to be more proactive " The manager loved the answer.
He then told me the interview process was very straightforward and that I Should hear back from the interview the next day to continue the process.
1 week passes and I follow up with the recruiter to find out that I was rejected from this role because the Manager said that my answer to his 1 question seemed too much like a sales person answer and that's why I wasn't a fit for this role.
I was furious because I'm overqualified for this role. I would've understood if he said that I don't have the healthcare background like other candidates (but he couldn't because this was an entry level role to gain the knowledge and get promoted after 1 year like he mentioned in the interview ).
The company seems very unorganized with the interview process. I also heard that there's no structure internally also.
Advice: don't mention anything about sales during your interview with any managers and you should be fine.
