Applied online and HR rep reached out via email to schedule 15-minute introductory phone call. Then I was scheduled for two 30-minute video call with the hiring manager and a team member. This is where it all went down hill. I met with the hiring manager first and she spent the entire time reiterating how I wasn’t a good fit because I didn’t have the exact number of years of experience she was looking for. That’s fine but don’t call someone for an interview if you don’t think they’re suitable just to belittle them the entire time. I felt so small by the end of the half hour that I couldn’t even do well on the second round. All I could do was try not to cry. Worst of all is that I had to take time off work to attend the interviews.
