The first stage involved writing two sets of 250 words on two specific questions about research and how it is useful/ what research methods would you use.
This was then followed by an invitation to complete a 'gamified behavioural test'. This involved completing roughly nine games, which focused on things like memory recall, managing pressure and recognising emotions. This was quite different to the standard behavioural tests, and I would recommend looking it up on youtube or forums before starting to get a sense of what it is about. The final score was not hugely relevant, it was more about understanding what type of person you are.
The next stage was a 30 min interview with a member of the hiring team. This was an enjoyable experience. At this stage they ask for your CV and ask a series of questions like 'why are you looking to move into market research?', 'what are your strengths?' and 'what areas of research are you most interested in?'. For this stage I would recommend being clear on why you want to do this job, and have examples prepared.
The final stage was two part. The first was completing a presentation task, where you are provided with a dataset, and your task is to present the main findings back to two Ipsos Mori directors (playing the role of clients). There is not much you can do to prepare for this part as you only receive the data at the start of the 2 hours.
The final stage was an interview with two different research managers/ directors. This was competency based, and largely focused on questions about Ipsos Mori's 5 values. For my interview they focused on three (Integrity, Collaboration and Client First), but I imagine they pick different combinations of this in different interviews. They also referenced the results from the earlier personality test, so make sure to be clear on what that shows. Then there were a few more general questions about my background, what I did in my degree and what specific areas I would be interested in working in.
I then received a verbal offer within a week of the interview.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
What does integrity mean to you, and can you think of examples when you have acted with integrity?
What does client first mean?
Can you think of a time when you have had to deal with disappointing/ frustrating feedback, and how did you respond to this.

First step was a few application questions related to the projects I would carry out, then an online test, then a first virtual interview. At the end of the interview, the interviewer said I'd done incredibly well and to keep a date a week later free for the Assessment Centre. That evening, Ipsos emailed me confirming I was on the shortlist for the Assessment Centre and they just needed to show the hiring team the shortlist before confirming my attendance but I will hear back in 24hours. A week passed and Ipsos completely ghosted me after asking me to keep the Assessment Centre date free, leading to me changing my travel plans. I sent multiple follow up emails and LinkedIn messages to understand what was happening but I never heard back. Extremely poor form from the recruitment team. I don't care about being rejected following an interview, but don't fill me with false hope then leave me hanging.

The team were very clear about what was needed in email correspondence and added helpful pointers to succeed in the interview. It was done online after two previous stages (application and personality tests). Typical interview questions about why you're interested in the role, what your skills are etc.
Difficult to remember if I was directly asked about a time I demonstrated a specific skill. It may be the case that you need to incorporate STAR answers more consciously.
