Interview process started mid May. I was initially contacted by the internal recruiter over LinkedIn and we spoke that same day. Then two days later I had a phone interview with the hiring manager which lasted about 30-40 minutes. I had an in person interview at the end of May with a couple of team members, the hiring manager, and another manager from a different team. The interviews seemed to be good. We ended up running out of time in the final interview. At the end I met with the HR gentleman that originally brought me in. He said he is going to meet with the team on Tuesday and I should hear back on Wednesday of the following week. I walked out and sent my thank you letter within an hour. I waited until Wednesday afternoon of the following week to ask for a status update. I was told that he hadn't met with the team yet and was going to meet with them on Thursday and the informal conversations he's had with the team had been positive. Then the following week I emailed on Tuesday June 12 again and I did not get a response. Then again on June 18 I sent an email asking for an update and again no response. Then I checked on LinkedIn and noticed the recruiter had found a new job and left the company. So I tried to follow up with the HR manager at the end of June and again no response. That's the long story.
In short, great experience in the beginning. Everything after the interview was unprofessional. So if you are planning to interview here I hope you don't run into the same thing I had. I really did want this job and I felt like an excellent fit. The lack of closure is what makes never want to apply at Invenergy again. I spent 3 hours at their office in downtown and in the end they don't even bother following up with a rejection notice. I still don't know what happened with that position.
