The interview process started with an initial screening call, followed by no updates for about two weeks. I was then contacted again and asked to attend an interview the next day. While I understand that scheduling issues can happen, the short notice felt quite rushed.
On the interview day, the interview did not start on time and was delayed without much explanation. At the beginning of the session, I was informed that the interview would be recorded and the recording started immediately. This may be the company’s standard practice, but it would have been better if this was communicated earlier.
The interview was conducted by HR and the hiring manager. HR handled the background questions in a fairly standard and professional manner. However, the interaction with the hiring manager felt very one-sided. When I asked questions about the role, team, or expectations, the responses were vague and not very helpful. The hiring manager also appeared low on energy and disengaged during the interview, which made the overall experience feel awkward and less professional.
Overall, the interview process felt unstructured and could be improved with better communication, time management, and preparation from the interview panel.
