I interviewed with Intrepid in November 2015 for an iOS Developer position in New York. There were 2 in-person one-on-one technical interviews that were average to difficult. Not long after my second interview, someone from HR called and told me I was getting an offer. She informed me of the salary/benefits that would be included. She said I could expect a written contract after a video chat with the CTO. The next week, I had a 30 minute video chat with the CTO. It was a typical behavioral/culture fit interview. A few days later, the HR person called me again and said I was now being offered a position as an apprentice. This offer was less than half the original salary with none of the benefits. I voiced my confusion and a few days after that, she called again and said they "forgot" there was a small salary bump in the apprenticeship program for New York. Over the next week, I tried to get in touch with the CTO again to figure out what happened and to see if I could get the original offer back. Scheduling a phone call was extraordinarily painstaking. 2 hours before the call, his personal assistant told me that he had to cancel. Then she told me he could speak the next day. Then she told me the CEO, not the CTO, would call me at the originally scheduled time. The CEO called a few minutes later for a brief conversation where any potential offers were rescinded because "a trust has been broken." I kindly sent them a long email after that tried to convey I was upset but offered criticism on where they went wrong and how it could be fixed. I never heard back. My experience with Intrepid was the single most unprofessional encounter of my 10+ years in the working world. I was constantly given different answers when I asked questions. It was obvious on many occasions that they were floundering and dishonest. Of the emails that did get a response, the replies took an incredibly long time. The lack of organization, communication, and transparency was astounding. I never got a straight answer from them on anything and they insisted on treating me like a fool. For what it's worth, I really liked the engineers there. They seemed like great people and they were the only reason I prolonged this horrible process. It's a shame they're with Intrepid. If you are interviewing there and you have any doubts, or something seems off, I would urge you to ask them questions. Your doubts are not unfounded.

Phone screen. Was difficult hearing the developer that was on the call. Otherwise as pleasant as a phone interview can be. Fielded technical, (difficult) mathematics, and general interest questions. I wish in today's age that phone screenings were replaced by video-chat screenings. Not having the face to face led to an awkward silence (in my opinion) during the interview.
