Unprofessional and humiliating interview. I sent my CV and cover letter to the company HR department. HR representative contacted me through an email and asked for the preferred day of a phone call. She never came back to me about the time of a call. Then she called me off-working hour and we had a primary interview where she asked me questions that could have been answered using my cover letter. She could not answer any of my questions regarding the company product or position tech aspects. I mentioned that I don’t have deep experience in IT project management, however I meet other requirements for the position. I also clearly said that I would like to meet someone from the company employees just to get to know more about the culture and position requirements. I was invited to the office for a following interview. There were no specific details about the process.
I arrived to the office and HR representative instructed me about the process. It consisted of generic interview with her -- 20 min, written test on logic plus a written case -- 20 min and peer interview with two company representatives. The first part was quite generic where I was asked to describe my previous projects. This was the time when I realised that HR lady never read my cover letter. When I asked her about it, she did not know what a cover letter actually means. After that she gave me the written test and left the room. The test contained logic questions with multiple answer choice. The case task did not look difficult but I have never done these tasks before. I felt it did not go very well. Then HR lady returned and took my papers and I was left alone to wait for the company representatives.
Two company representatives: a guy and a girl entered the room with the printed cover letter and my test papers. Instead of introducing themselves properly they told me that I had failed the written test and “let’s do it again to see why you don’t get it”. And we went through the logic test again where the guy asked me to resonate on the questions. After that they asked me to go through the case and show my thinking process. With every answer the girl gave the comments such as: “I can’t take it anymore, I will start smoking from these answers”. Needless to say, the interview has gone far beyond my skills and expectations. I thanked them for their time and wanted to leave. However, they did not allow me to go and continued the interview for another 40 min at least. During that time they commented on the sentences and words from my cover letter (the one they just saw), they also suggested that I should never try working in IT rather go to Startup scene and so on.
My job interview experience comes from EU. I have been at interviews and situations where my skill set would not answer the requirements. It has happened before that I failed the case interviews too. However, never in my life I have been so humiliated at the interview by company representatives. The interview was highly disrespectful and even hostile. I do really hope that Intermedia’s office in Russia can work on their interview personnel.

Entretien
Completely disappointed with the interview process. I was rejected right at the interview because, as HR said, I was too old for the position (I am 25!). She also said that neither she nor a Product manager checked out my preliminary task which I submitted 3 days before the interview.
So what was the rejection based on?
P.S. the interview was recorded on HR phone though I didn’t give my permission to do so, I noticed it only in the end.

Entretien
I've had two stages of the interview plus one home work:
1st stage - solving thу logical tasks, interview with HR (general questions only), interview with my potential manager (questions on the technical experience etc.).
Then I got a home assignment to prepare the short technical specification on how to migrate a customer from one solution to another.
2nd stage - interview with other project manager and one oа the lead QA plus manager who was at the first interview.
Generally everyone was friendly, no stress-interview or something like that. After working with logical tasks there was a discussion with a manager on them where we discussed the way how I was approaching them.
Finally another candidate was chosen, but company made very good impression.
