I saw a sponsored ad on Indeed for an Account Executive position in New York. I figured it might be a good opportunity, so I looked through LinkedIn and got in contact with one of the people from HR. We corresponded through email and set up a phone interview. I'm very glad that it was a phone interview, because it was not the conversational style I expected it to be. The interviewer's tone was immediately aggressive.
She would ask me questions about what the company did, and when I told her, she would tell me I was wrong and essentially rephrase what I said. Being a recent college graduate who's new at this, I became very nervous. Finally, she said "can I be honest with you?" and proceeded to rant at what seemed like 1000 wpm about how grueling and impossible sales is, and how I need to be 110% sure this is what i wanted to do. Finally she asked "so what do you think about that?" and I just thanked her and told her it wasn't for me. Be prepared for aggressive intensity if you interview here.

The recruiter was based in Bangalore, India. At the start of the interview, he read through the job scope directly from his screen. He spoke very fast with a strong accent, which made it difficult for me to fully understand. After reviewing the role, he asked questions related to the sales process, motivation, strengths, sales targets, handling difficult customers, availability, and salary expectations. I asked for clarification more than once and answered the questions based on my understanding. The interview felt very transactional, with limited interaction beyond the scripted questions.
Just some feedback, I feel I would have been able to respond more effectively if the questions were shorter and more direct. Some of the questions were quite lengthy. I have no issue with different accents, but speaking slower and clearer pace of speech would have improved comprehension.

Fast paced but thorough. Was able to finish the process within 3-4 weeks. Fully remote and interviewed with several directors. The process felt personable and the directors took time to make sure that it was a good fit for me as well.

What was something challenging you have overcome recently?
Just a phone screen. It was clear the recruiter didn't fully read/misread my resume when she got on the call as I could hear her having her "oh oops" moment. Haven't heard since. At least she was candid that they don't promise any feedback or communication as a policy.
