My experience with Indeed was great except for one person, who I'm not sure was qualified or competent enough to interview candidates. I had two screening calls, then an in-person interview with two account directors. Both were pleasant, but as the interview proceeded, it became clear that one of them wasn't qualified to be anywhere near the internet business. I actually had to explain to this person how an e-commerce business works. I'd had a great experience with Indeed until this point, but it was a clear indicator that their hiring process itself had some issues. The interview took a negative turn from that point on. The director kept interrupting me and had clearly decided he didn't like me. The other thing I was told is that I don't have experience with a short sales cycle. I had experience with selling products upward of $10,000. The sales cycle of big-ticket products is naturally longer than one phone call, which is what they were looking for. It's nothing that an experienced candidate with big-ticket sales experience can't adapt to. Overall a great experience, but I think there were inconsistencies in their hiring process which became evident as time went on. I was disappointed to not receive an offer, as I liked the company, the people and the product itself.
