The initial interview was conducted over the phone, followed by two in person interviews, a ride along, and then a final in person. The one thing I liked was how much they stressed that they really wanted you to understand what you were committing to if you decide to join. The flip side of the coin with allowing potential candidates to do ride alongs, as well as speak with current employees is that the candidate gets a chance to see through many of the sales pitches to get you to join. They're pretty clear that this isn't just a full time job (full time hours)...you're expected to put in well over 10-14 hours per day, with no remote work possible. The things that forced me to decline the offer were the insane amount of hours, the lack of ability to do any of this work remotely, the low pay and compensation package, a monthly mileage stipend that wouldn't cover the fuel and wear and tear on your vehicle, forced to wear suits and ties every single day, and the constant revolving door of salespeople. Many of these things are carryovers from the 80's and 90's. While I agree that wearing suits and ties looks nice, in today's corporate world, this custom has been fading. I think the company has some really great offerings, and the above are just some of my reasons why I couldn't accept the offer. Their methodology seems to work for them, for now, but it's how you burn people out of sales. I liked everyone I met and wish them nothing but the best.

Thanks for your review. Although it is not required for sales reps to work outside of the normal 40 hours a week, the most successful reps put in extra time to ensure they are properly finding and nurturing leads. Additionally, Impact has increased its salary for this particular role to match 2019 market rates, and offers a company vehicle with free gas and maintenance for sales reps. Lastly, Impact does not offer remote work options due to the excessive collaboration that occurs daily between departments. We wish you the best of luck in your career!

To ensure you know what you're getting yourself into, the interview process was long consisting of several ride along days with current account managers. When sitting down with the manager basic interview questions were asked. Super friendly interaction, full of conversation about the company and their culture. Make sure to do extensive research on the company and their values.

They are very good at passing themselves as an IT solutions company when in fact, the majority of their business comes from selling copy machines. Including the phone interview, I talked with 5 people. The HR rep and Managers were professional but the Partner I met with was very unprofessional (and that's putting it nicely). The job description changed with each person I met then they made a low ball offer which didn't include what had been stated throughout the process. I would have considered the offer but after meeting with the Partner, I asked myself, "Why would I want to work hard and make money for a guy like that?"
