Don't put all of your eggs in this basket. Let's give the process: First, I applied online and answered some typical job application questions. Following that, I was contacted by a very nice lady named Carol in HR to proceed with a digital interview. The digital interview is weird at first. You log in and are asked questions where you answer to the camera and then you have multiple choice questions. Each non mult. choice question gives you about 20 seconds to think of an answer before starting to record. Once recording, you have about 2 min of record time for your answer, which you can end early when satisfied. By about question 7 I started feeling comfortable. Because of the growth away from corporate I see why they like using it. It is effective for their logistics. After I finished the digital interview I was contacted again by HR and was sent an attachment with another application. This one had the same information as the very first but now included salary history, expected salary, and preferred start time. Now, to the next step. I was contacted again by HR and asked to set up a phone call with her. With this call we discussed the job description. Conversations were blurbs were, "If it works out, we'd like to have you start as soon as we can." And "They were really impressed with you." And "We will have you interview with the ESC manager." By this time things are sounding great. I'm starting to think this is going to happen. I meet with the ESC manager for the West Coast named Lisa and we talk in person for an interview. The questions I'm asked are the same as the digital interview. I start to get a different vibe right off the bat than from HR, but who knows. The good news is that the ESC manager states that I'll be getting another (hopefully final) interview via Skype with her and a local manager for the location I applied for. She even stated that this interview and a final decision will reach my ears by the end of the next week. Well that date comes and goes. I never hear about setting up that interview from the manager. I don't hear a word for weeks where I'm finally told by HR that an internal employee got the position. Now, I realize this is a busy time of year for hiring with anything related to schools, but it literally takes a couple of minutes to draft an email and keep in contact. Overall, the company's product seems great and current employees have great things to say, but there are some holes in the communication between corporate, employees away from corporate and potential hires. This doesn't bode well when the application/hiring process is so long and reduntat. I ended up applying for another great job when I didn't hear back, was interviewed and hired before Imagine Learning ever got back. I recommend giving Imagine Learning a shot. It's a great company, but don't put all of your eggs in this basket.

The interview process for Imagine Learning is quite extensive- I made it to the last round of interviews, but was not selected for the ESC position. It consisted of 5 steps- 1) Digital interview, 2) Completion of detailed application 3) Phone Interview 4) Live digital interview 5) In-person Interview. After you submit your resume, you are contacted by HR via email to participate in a digital interview as the first step in their process. The interview consists of you answering short answer and multiple choice questions, along with submitting recorded video responses to specific questions (you are given 30 seconds to review the question and prepare, then 2 minutes to answer- you cannot re-record your answer). Upon completion of your interview, you are contacted by HR and invited to complete a more detailed application. Once you submit your application, you are invited to conduct a phone interview. After the phone interview, you are asked to participate in a live digital interview with an Imagine Learning Manager (Skype-like interaction). Finally, after going through all the screening you meet for an in-person interview, in where I was asked to prepare a 5-minute presentation and took about 1 hour to complete. The whole process was quick, about a total of 2 weeks. I would say that this position is tailored for previous educators and/or teachers who want a change. It requires you to have extensive classroom experience combined with a customer service skill set, and IT knowledge.

It was a digital interview. Process was easy and the interview wasn't too hard. It was a mix of multiple choice question and a recording interview question. But after I applied they sent me a link to record my interview. There are practice questions to make sure your mic and video is working and for you to be familiar with the process. After I did my interview, HR contacted me about maybe a week later letting me know if I would be moving on.

      Question 1

What specific suggestions do you have to engage students? What do you know about imagine learning? If there was a technical difficulty and your onsite tech assistant wasn't available to fix it, what would you do? What question did you wish we asked you that we didn't? What is an OP? - this was a tricky one.
