Interview process very timely and well planned. Not a very difficult interview with very few detailed technical questions. Mostly general questions like why do you want to do a PhD, Why join IMEc etc

After I mail the package to them on Dec.15 I received interview request on 1.23, and interview at 2.22, five professor will interview me at the same time. Overall experience is good, since most of the professor I was familiar with and they also were familiar with my boss at present time.

I applied online for a position in analog design. After passing the screening process got selected for an interview. It took some time to set it up, but it was very good. There were two interviewers, and they were very nice but direct and objective. They asked me about papers I had published before, where we discussed some of the circuits and results. Then they sent me two schematics, a half wave rectifier with op-amp and a generic amplifier circuit. Lots of basic analog questions like gain, impedance on the node, noise analysis, identifying blocks, etc. You should know your basics by hard, but it is OK if you make minor mistakes or don't know all the analytic answers, just be honest and say you don't know.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
Gain of the circuit. Impedance seen into node X. What does this circuit does? What is the main noise contributor?
