it was easy based on the relevant experience from previous work .technical interview on subject knowledge, methodology, and skills, plus assessing research aptitude, problem-solving ability, and alignment with the project.

It was easy. their were 3 panelist, the PI, an external and another faculty. Mostly the PI asked questions, it was basics only. From the projects and background they asked, interview was for about 20-25 mins

the written exam is conducted, but results are not transparently shown, so somewhere, it is felt that privilege to students with fellowship is given.
Otherwise if you clear, faculty seemed pretty nice and cooperative.
