Multi - step (HR phone call, coffee chat, interview, and secondary interview). The secondary interview was positioned as a coffee chat with senior leadership however it was much more interview-like than expected.

Two interviews with progressively senior people. Excellent questions based on knowledge and experience. Rigorous background check process was difficult as they were only interested in hearing from past supervisors who were difficult to track down during summer vacation season.
The interview was done virtually and was ok, many questions about governance but light on what the needs were for the company or what the primary day to day task would be for the position. In the end they never contacted me again to even let me know if I didn't get the position. Pretty unprofessional.
