Was called in to interview for one position, but was told by HR rep upon arrival that I was being interviewed for a different role (that hadn't been defined). Basic behavioral questions by panel interview; Q/A about my background and discussion about processes I developed during past roles. When asked about the undefined role, the interview panel reacted as though they had no idea what I was asking about. The interview went/ended well with warm thanks from the panel for sharing my insights. I followed-up right away (and then weekly/bi-weekly), but received no replies from the hiring manager.
