As an Account Executive, I logically applied multiple times for an Account Executive position. The hiring team didn't select my profile then told me I would suit better for a more junior position which is BDR. I later found out the company hired someone for the Account Executive position I initially applied for. But, this person has the same level of diploma as me. The same years of experience as me. This person had the exact same job as me at the exact same company - in other words : exactly the same profile as me. So what is the difference between this person and I ? Well, I guess it is because this person is Caucasian and I am Afro descendant.
