The recruiter contacted me on LinkedIn about a Data Engineer position, and after I expressed my interest, we agreed that she would call me 1-2 days later in the afternoon to give me the details. The phone call was scheduled for Thursday afternoon, but after she didn't call me, I sent her a message to arrange another time. She did not reply to my message until Monday morning, but based on our agreement, she called me in the afternoon where we arranged an interview for Wednesday. The HR person started the call by saying that she was sorry, but she had spoken to his colleague and she would not have continue the process with me. The decision was made that as they wanted to plan for the longer term with a colleague and I have only been living in the Netherlands for 8 months, they did not want to continue, because they see me as a potential risk of leaving like in six months to another country ( by the way, I did not mention this at all, in fact I made a point of saying that I intended to stay in the Netherlands. ) She added that she didn't want to write this in an email, so she chose to say it in person at the beginning of the interview.
