The notification for the position was posted to a company messaging board. Applicants were to notify the hiring supervisor of our interest. All applicants meeting hiring criteria were promised an interview. The interview itself was done over the phone. Most questions were unrelated to the position itself, which left the impression that the position had already been promised to another employee.
