After I sent in my application, I was not hearing back so I called the hotel to ask to speak to the manager to set up an interview. It was only a few common questions in person. The manager was polite and told me I could come in that weekend and do a trial period to see if I like the job. Instead, I accepted another job offer that paid higher.
