I received a call from a recruiter about a position I was interested in applying. She asked me some questions about my resume regarding my employment gap, and it seems like I got screened out. She claimed that she would have to talk to her manager and her client, but I never got a callback and never respond to her email about the status. I was disappointed with the process, and this is the first time I got denied. She has no idea how hard it is to get a job when you are competing against other applicants, the position is on hold or filled before you get a chance to get an interview and let alone the dreaded Application Tracking System / ATS of no return when you submit your resume. Hopefully, Hire Talent management will lighten up on their rules if a person gave them valid reasons why they are out to work for an extended period. Luckily, there are other agencies that I got in contact with the different job position, and they happen to open the same job title I was trying to get.
