The interview process at Hinge Labs is convivial but it is extractive. They ask you to present new ideas and solutions to problems- that has the potential to be exploitative, esp for marginalized people who've historically had their ideas appropriated (which kind of contradicts their statements about equity). I would encourage candidates to request compensation ( a lot of companies actually do this, like Indeed) and include a blurb that 'I do not give Hinge Labs permission to use my work for any other purposes than the interviewing process', like I did.
