I recently interviewed for the Senior Data Analyst position at HelloFresh. The process was smooth, well-structured, and overall a positive experience. My recruiter, Jenny McKenna, was very friendly, professional, and transparent throughout the process. She clearly explained the interview timeline and compensation details, and the interview itself felt conversational rather than stressful. The questions focused mainly on communication skills, data visualization, and experience working with stakeholders. The feedback after the interview was timely and respectful. Even though I wasn’t selected, I appreciated the clear reasoning provided the team mentioned they were looking for deeper experience with marketing data systems. Overall, HelloFresh gave me a very positive impression as a company that values clear communication and professionalism. First round - Phone screening with recruiter (15-20 min). Second Round - 45 min video interview with hiring manager. Last Round - 45 min video interview with the team. The experience was good and the questions were also pretty straight forward.

I applied online and needed to answer several questions. I answered not too short, not too long and provided also a cover letter. Get a rejection letter in hours (!). I am ok that I may be not a good match, not skilful enough or something. However, my CV was tailored very well to the job ad and I checked that thoroughly. Even if that was the case, rejection was too quick. So I am quite sure that it was one of three reasons. First - some hidden requirements. Second - some kind of discrimination because of unnamed criteria . Third - a much lower salary than the market proposes. I always check Glassdoor as well as other resources for the actual one for Berlin and the role I am applying for. So be transparent, and don't waste applicants' time.
