This was a pretty bad experience. I interviewed with 5 different people at Helix and the process took months. My final interview was with 2 members of the executive team less than a week after a family member passed away. (They were aware of this) At the end of that interview, one stated I 'check all the boxes' for them and they would 'get back to me the 1st week of Jan, 2023' and 'if not, sooner. I did not hear back and we are 2 weeks into February 2023. I texted the TA team member I'd been corresponding with since the start of my candidacy to inquire about my application status the 1st week of Jan. 2023. She stated,' Let me find out and get back to you.' She never contacted me again. I think it's not only unprofessional, but inconsiderate, rude and harmful to leave people that invested a substantial amount of time speaking to their company confused. As HR professionals, it's alarming they practice the 'ghosting' method instead of providing applicants clarity & closure.
