quite lengthy to be honest, had a phone interview which lasted about 5 minutes, then a week later an hour in person with manager, super fine, then about 20 minutes a week after with department manager, then harrods pre-recorded assessment - a difficult process for a sales assistant role

phone interview - are you okay to travel in - how do train strikes affect you, the phone interview questions were quite basic , Why do you want to work for Harrod's, what experience do you have in customer service, how well do you work with teams, diverse teams etc, working with both coworkers and customers from all around the world
1st in person interview - lengthy interview, more scenario based, how do you deal with difficult customers, do you take bad work experiences home with you, how do you feel handling expensive products etc, what do you want to do in the future (probably wise to talk about progressing within the company - can ask at the end if they say any questions, how difficult is it to progress within the company?), what can you bring to the department and the team.
2nd In person interview -tell me about yourself - talks more about your CV and experience - convince me you are the right choice for this role (I didn't have a lot of retail sales experience) - just apply the skills you learnt from any short term roles to the tasks required of a sales assistant (greeting people and being warm, confidence, friendliness, all that). What kind of brands do you like AND WHY (probably best to name one within the department you are working in)
Harrod's online screening - a series of video pre-recorded answers, ranking what you would do most to least likely, responding to potential messages from clients. client based process, I got two theoretical clients and what they are looking for - how you would approach each client - how you would approach prioritising one client over another (if you are serving one and another asks a question) - importance of motivation and teamwork - how you motivate yourself
It was a great process, the recruiter was really nice and helpful through the process, first you do a video recording, then a phone call and an in person interview.
Very formal setting. You go to the head office and talk to an individual about why you would like to work there. Make sure you have some desire to work in luxury retail or have previous experience of giving personalised services to a customer
