I had to complete the Editorial Assistant test. This involved reading a chapter of a book sent to me, writing a blurb, coming up with sample titles, explaining how I believed the book would perform and what Harlequin title it would work best under. I completed the task well and got through to the next stage which was a one-to-one interview, however, they read my available time to commence working wrong, and needed someone to start sooner than i was able to. It was such a shame it did not work out.

2 stage interview process after initial screening. 1 hour interviews at both stages with test involved. Questions involved what you like reading and how you see yourself fitting into the role.

During the interview both managers were very thorough in explaining the details of the position, although the levels of politeness certainly varried. A bit of a red flag was when I was asked repetitively what I would do in the occasion where a manager forgot a deadline....

Most prominently, I remember being asked about my knowledge and relationship with the company and its products, which of courses made perfect sense.
