The interview process involved multiple steps including a phone interview and a written assignment. The written assignment involved app buzz words and a faux customer interaction and questions about the interaction.

What would your previous supervisor say about you?
Interview consisted of a phone call primarily asking questions about my experience and the salary that I was looking for.I’m fairly confident based on my experience that the man I spoke with has never conducted an interview in his entire life. I cannot fathom why they don’t have HR or recruiting conducting initial interviews instead of department leads. Instead of being transparent about the salary and including it on the job listing they chose to list it as a “competitive salary”; this of course is usually a red flag for companies that want to pay less than the job is worth. When I informed the interviewer that I was looking for around the median salary for this type of role they immediately informed me that I was asking for too much and ended the interview at that point. This was a disappointing experience to say the least as this is a company that I hold in high regard and I’m saddened to learn that they don’t pay their employees a respectable wage.
