Disappointing Outcome After Positive Feedback I went through four interviews for a role at Gusto, not including the phone screening. Throughout the process, I was repeatedly told I seemed an excellent fit for the position. Each interviewer was friendly, and I put much effort into preparing and showing up as my best self. However, after all that time and positive feedback, I was rejected without a clear explanation. It was a disappointing and frustrating experience, especially considering how much time and energy I invested. Being told you're a great fit only to be passed over without closure makes the whole process a considerable waste of time. I expected more transparency and respect from a company that promotes values like empathy and a people-first culture.

I had 4 interviews total and worked with two recruiters. The whole process was very open, everyone I talked to was very kind and easy to speak with. The interviews were more personal and did not feel like they were reading a script. I really enjoyed the whole process. Henry and Tate were such awesome and communicative recruiters and I greatly appreciated that.
