However, once the process started it happened quite quickly. Only 2 or 3 days to schedule and complete the client interview. The offer came within hours of the interview. The upshot was that the manager and I got along quite well and he was comfortable with my grasp of the project and my technical ability to quickly and safely complete the tasks.
