      Entretien

I received an invitation to an interview after around a week of sending my application on Grayce's website. I applied for the Change+ programme and in all honesty, I should have done better by researching the company before I applied. I only found out about the shocking low pay, extra training costs you're liable for (if you leave before the 3 years programme is up) and other negative experiences with the company after I accepted the interview invitation. The pay up North is £21,500 in the first year, which apparently rises to £26k in year 2 and £35k in year 3. The interviewer did ask for my salary expectations at the beginning of the interview. The company stresses that you get access to training, such as agile project management and business analytics diplomas in the first few months of joining, but don't mention that you will need to cover the cost of these if you leave before the development programme is up - I found this out from other reviews. I found the pay to be shocking, considering that most other companies will pay at least £24k if not more, so Grayce needs to do better and respect graduates more than paying a measly £21.5k that is not negotiable. The nature of the work is being a project analyst within a small team at a client's company... so basically you're hired and sent off to a client. Sounds like a recruitment company to me, with the exception that you are paid by Grayce and not the client. From quick research, there are project analyst jobs at their clients that pay on average £5-6k more per year than Grayce do. Upon asking about the next steps after completing the development programme, the interviewer gave 4 scenarios that people choose: work directly with the client, freelance, do a permanent contract with Grayce, or work as a mentor at Grayce. The only thing I think is great about this is the opportunity to work with a variety of clients, however, this can also have its drawbacks, as you do not get to choose your "assignments" or clients, so you might get stuck with a client you don't get along with, and sometimes all on your own.

      Entretien

I was told I had an interview which was incredibly difficult to schedule as I had to liaise with 4 different members of staff. When trying to schedule my interview I was told twice that I was then unsuccessful only to receive another email several days later offering me a timeslot. After my interview, I waited 4 weeks and received no response and when I sent an email for an update, I got no response. I then decided to call the company and over a two week period of constant chasing, I was told that a message had been left for my interviewer to get in touch for an update. I still got nothing back from the company and finally managed to get through to my interviewer a week later only to be told I was unsuccessful. I have no issue that my application was unsuccessful, my issue was with the way my application was handled. The whole process was messy and disorganised and if you have any type of enquiry the company do not make any effort to reply to your messages. Applicants are expected to prepare for interviews, do research and be organised and yet the company handled my application with no care whatsoever.
