I did my written test first. After passing the written test, we did a 2000m row. Then afterwards you do a Preliminary Interview. All three were done the same day. I had my Oral Board review after passing the Preliminary.

First, you do the physical agility test, then the written test. If you pass both of those, you do a preliminary interview. Here, they nitpick every little thing in your background as if they've never ever made a mistake in their lives. The worst part is if you fail the preliminary, you're permanently disqualified from the department. No ifs, ands or buts. Good for lateral entries, but terrible for new applicants.
