J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 7 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Google (Mountain View, CA) en juil. 2011

      Entretien

7/18/11 - Interview #1: Phone screen with Sales & Marketing Recruiter. Missed first scheduled meeting due to meeting overrun. Asked for college GPA scores and really wanted details about a scholarship that I received freshman year (from 9 years ago!). Thought it was pretty ridiculous, but I went with it. 7/21/11 - Interview #2: Phone interview with hiring manager for 45 min. Questions were the following: • Why Google? What do you bring to Google? • Why is Google pursuing the Offers business? • Offers is hectic. Is this okay for you considering Wells Fargo is a huge process-oriented company? • What would you do to differentiate the product? • How attract new customers, drive loyalty, and repeat yield? • How help merchants manage inventory/traffic? [Radio silence from the recruiter until 8/11/11. I reached out via email on 7/26 and 8/2] 8/11/11: VM from recruiter asking me to come in for an on-site interview. 8/23/11 - Interview #3: 4 hour on-site interview with 4 team members. One interview was a video conference; the interviewer dialed in about 10 min. late and then it took another 5-10 min. to set up the video conference to work properly. Since it was only a 30 min. interview lasted only about 10 min. Interviewer gave me his phone number and email and asked me to contact him to schedule a follow-up discussion, which I did, but he never responded back to me. *** One thing stuck out to me that really gave me pause about Google and my feeling of their lack of empathy and "Google should be your top priority at all costs complex." For this interview it was around the same time when my daughter was due (she was actually born a day after the interview). When I humorously told the recruiter that there was a chance that my wife could go into labor on 8/23 and that I would need to reschedule the interview, I was shocked that he didn't show ANY empathy - not even a word of congratulations. He didn't miss a beat and told me that if that were to occur then I should contact him immediately so that the interviewers could be informed as soon as possible. Frankly, I was completely shocked at the inflexibility considering my circumstances, and how patient I had been with the entire interview process a month in. [Radio silence from the recruiter until 9/9/11 upon my reach out] 9/12/11: Spoke with recruiter. He informed me that I was their second choice. He was cordial and said that the team thought I was a exceptionally strong candidate and he would keep me in mind for other possible positions. I reached out to the recruiter 2 more times through the first week of Oct. but never heard back from him again.

Initial screening, two interviews with PMMs focused on behavorial questions and some hypotheticals - they provide prep on the structure they want for the hypotheticals which mostly focus on marketing thinking and thought process

Phone screening interview with HR, followed by Hangouts interview with key staff member. In-person interview with four cross-functional team members, and the hiring manager. One of my interviews with a customer service team member was very case-based ("How would you handle this...?") and my other interviews were more about the business I would be working on.

As expected, the interview had a mix of behavioral and hypothetical questions. Nothing too difficult, but you must always connect your answers back to the specific job function you’re applying for.
