I applied quite late online, only a day or two before the deadline. A day after applying I received a questionnaire. Filled out a questionnaire and had a design project. Had one interview but no response after. There was no indication whether I was rejected or still in the application pool

Design an experience for students to discover orientation events and craft a visual system to accommodate different types of events: sports, music, visual arts, social groups, and volunteering events. Provide high-fidelity mocks for searching, browsing, and viewing the details for these different events.
I had 3 rounds total. 1st round was with HR, with the remaining rounds being with the Head of Product and the tech teams. The last round was the hardest, as I had to do a portfolio review

3 rounds of tech discussion which I cleared with a positive feedback but suddenly recruiter disappeared and when I reached out for further rounds she mentioned that they have got a internal candidate for this position. Never thought Google will be such an unprofessional organisation.
I didn't make it to the interview part of the process. I highly recommend knowing someone or going through an actual recruiter if you'd like a job at Google. Cold applying online is harder to to secure a job.
