I applied and interviewed in October 2018, had a phone interview and then came in for an interview day. When i came in office i noticed there is a severe lack of diversity in the team, most coordinators/recruiters seemed to be white and upper class. it left me doubting i would fit in

CV + cover letter, phone interview, assessment centre, and final round interview (which I didn't make it). What I love about the process is they're very responsive and don't keep you waiting, which I really appreciate. The interviews were very structured, and very repetitive. When I was at the assessment centre, I had 2 30 minute interviews, and they both asked me the same questions which were very weird. There was also a situational task, and in tray. There's not a lot you can prepare for it because they're very much in the context of DeepMind. One thing I've learned from this process is if you have good admin and scheduling skills, you'll probably get it. The job is heavily administrative and repetitive, which I discovered during the interviews and I think the interviewers can tell I was not up for it.
