The entire interview process was a mess and extremely unprofessional. (Unless noted, the interviews were all done via phone). First, I met with a technology director and the interview went well. The interview turned into a nice discussion on SDLC and technology. A couple of days later I met with the COO then the Controller. After the meeting with the controller, I was given a mock project plan to create, which took over 10 hours to thoroughly complete. Everything was going excellent, until my meeting with the first interviewer. We met in person and he asked questions based on my project plan, etc. Again, all indications were the interview went well. Ultimately, I was rejected for the job because I was weak in a specific technology skill set (Oracle PL/SQL programming). During my very first meeting with them I explicitly told them I have never programmed in PL/SQL and it wasn't even on my resume! I had taken three days off and spent countless hours in preparing for the interviews, when they would have realized from day one that I did not have the skills they required. Waste of time. The three interviewers all had different job requirements and were not on the same page.

The interview process was very straightforward and fair. The recruiter was transparent about the day-to-day responsibilities, salary, and answered many of my questions. She asked about my background and it was overall very conversational. I ended up accepting another offer before completing the interview process, but the company and their benefits were impressive.

Unprofessional, lack of respect for candidates.
Received an email from an HR representative within a week of applying requesting an initial interview. Interview with HR was standard, mostly behavioral and situational questions. Was contacted by HR a few days later to schedule an interview with the hiring manager. Spent an hour interviewing with the hiring manager. Mostly conversational interview and was asked about my experience. Was told by the hiring manager that he would share his feedback with HR the next day. Never heard from the company again. Not getting the job is fine, but to not even get any feedback or a rejection email is incredibly unprofessional and shows a complete lack of respect for candidates. If this is how the company treats prospective employees, I can only imagine how you're treated after accepting a position.

Unfortunately it sounds like something was missed our end as we do want all candidates to have a good experience going through the process.
