J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 12 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Gold's Gym en oct. 2017
Entretien
I am a current employee so I was already familiar with the company. When the job posted on our website i applied in house. I sat down with a panel and discussed why I think I could be beneficial in a General Manager role.
very unorganised and lack of focused questions. The interviewer had not prepared questions. The interview lasted 20 mins and the interview was conducted by the managing director. The staff were very friendly and courtious.
J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Gold's Gym (Ballston, VA) en août 2018

I had a very unprofessional experience! Mid August 2018 I had an interview with the District Manager in the DC metro area for a General Manager position. 15 min the interview I was informed that the position was already filled. I ask when did he learn about this, his reply was a week ago. I confirm the appointment a week prior to meeting, he had a chance to notify me then. We confirmed the appointment the day of the schedule interview, he could have told me then as well. [Background that the interviewer did not know, I spent 12 hours round trip driving and I spent the night in-town. I was furious but I did not let it show.]
During the interview, the District Manager was not prepared in regards of not having a copy of my resume nor was he able to find it on his own computer. I can kinda understand this for a low level seasonal employment but not for a professional general manager position. I brought my own laptop and we used that to go over my resume.
The one positive side of the interview was that he did answer my questions clearly and provided additional information about Gold's Gym process on how they prioritize the hiring from within and up thru the ranks and only seeking outside interviews in extreme situations where this is no internal talent available.
