I applied online and received an email response followed by a phone call from the hiring manager within the week. At the end of the call I was invited for an in-person interview. Office was incredibly small and crowded though they were supposedly getting ready to move to a better space. I spent well over an hour with the hiring manager going over my experience, talking about my work, solving some puzzles and taking a personality test. There was genuine interest and appreciation from the hiring manager the entire time. The interview lasted longer than expected and the hiring manager was apologetic that I had to wait for the CEO who was running late by about an hour. I genuinely did not mind because I was getting along with the manager quite well and we had a great time speaking about my experience and company's history. When the CEO finally showed up he spent no longer than 10 minutes with us and promptly disappeared. Two days later I heard almost word for word that "the CEO did not like me as a candidate".
