J'ai postulé via un recruteur. J'ai passé un entretien chez GitHub en avr. 2021
Entretien
Started with recruiter reaching out and the process moved quickly from there. Next moved to a phone screen by one of the managers and then to zoom meetings. Zoom meeting felt very impersonal and rushed.

I have NEVER had such a negative interview experience:
My first round of interviews were with two people who told me I’d be a ‘perfect fit for the role’, considering I have more experience than most of the candidates. However, I still had to interview with 5 more people after them, which in my opinion is too much for such an associate level role.
One certain person’s schedule conflicted with the other interviewers so I had to meet him on a separate day. The interview was very brief and condescending. When I asked if I’d be a good fit, he replied with gray language and said that I should ask the person i’m charge of my specific department, since I’d be working closer with her.
The following week, I had my final round of interviews with the remaining 3 ppl and they saved the a certain person for last. Well... she cancelled on me 1 hour before our scheduled zoom call. My recruiter called me and said they will get this rescheduled but it took them 1 week to reply to me afterwards. 7 days after that I get a call and was told that the team decided to move forward with other candidates–I literally didn’t even get to finish my interview process!
What struck me as odd was that the company kept bragging about diversity and inclusion, however couldn’t even give me a fair chance to finish my interview process, despite all the time and research I had gone thru and I was genuinely excited to potentially join the team.
Until this day no one from Github will respond to my emails or messages via LinkedIn. I truly hope no other candidate has to go thru what happened to me because it’s very unprofessional and demeaning.
