Applied on their website, got a response back a few weeks later. After multiple rounds of interviews I presumed went well, was ghosted after putting several hours into a take-home assignment.

Question 1
What is your approach when working directly with engineers to build out a feature?
J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez GitHub (San Francisco, CA)
Entretien
The interview process starts with phone screens with a recruiter and team lead. These were relatively casual conversations to make sure that my experience aligned with what they were looking for and they were able to provide more information about the team structure and design process. Pretty typical for early conversations.
Next came the written design exercise (because so much of the company is remote, writing is an important skill). They recommend spending 90 min on this, but I'm not sure how realistic that is.
After a couple of days I was asked to come in for the final onsite, which took an entire day– It was by far the longest onsite I had. The interview process was pretty standard (except for the length) with an hour long portfolio review, design exercise, and 1:1s throughout the day. Because so many employees are remote, some of the 1:1s were done over zoom, which took a second to get used to. Overall, I had a really great experience– Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. It definitely seems like a fun team that enjoys their work.
The only issue I had with the whole process was that there weren't many breaks during the onsite. I was talking to people for a solid 7 hours (including lunch), which can be pretty draining.

Question 1
They asked a lot of standard interview questions- be prepared to talk about your process, research, how you make decisions, etc.
J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez GitHub (Berlin) en déc. 2021

Normal phone screening, portfolio review, cross functional interview and finally design challenge. The position was for Europe.
The last step, the design challenge, was with a team
of 2 (PMs) in US.
They were not super accommodating with the time and I had to do it at 10:00pm/22:00 my time which was not so great since it’s a 1/2h exercise that requieres been focused and sharped and I was really tired at that hour of the day.
I failed at the design challenge. There were some tricky questions I got blocked at, for example“what would you do to offer a solution if you had no team?”
which I answer something like “make a pitch to leadership so I could get some resources”, “find out why I wasn’t assigned with any resources and make sure the scope was well understood” but the answer they were expecting to hear was more on the line of using tweeter as a communication channel.
When I got the mail from TA saying they have decided to not make any offer I asked very politely and professionally if I could get some feedback to improve for next time and if I could reapply in the future after some period.
Both where negative, they said they couldn’t provide feedback to interviewers for some law regulation in place and that reapply was not recommended.
I really liked the company but I guess it was a one shot try and I missed

Question 1
what would you do to offer a solution if you had no team?
Foi maravilhoso! Muitas pessoas incluidas, e muito informativo.
Quais são seus metodos para resolver uma problema lean e rapido? Uma boa pergunta eu acho… O processo foi intenso, mas eu gostei muito
