Had an scheduled screening interview with Gilead HR Talent Recruiter but was ghosted during the scheduled timeframe. Recruiter eventually reached out and offered to reschedule, but did not follow through with setting up a new screening interview time. Judging from other reviews, it seems like SLOPINESS and POOR COMMUNICATION are common tenants amongst the Gilead recruiting department. It is a shame that such a renowned biopharma company would have such poor recruiting tactics and behaviors. Perhaps this is a problem with only certain recruiters that work outside of California, and if so, I hope that no one else has the misfortune of dealing with EW, undelectable moments.

I had the phone interview with the hiring manager. He asked me scientific behavioral questions to try to see if I know what I was told about. From his online profile, he got his Ph.D a few years ago and try to act tough during the interview by asking hypothetical questions. The interview lasted about 30 minutes.
