It took me four rounds of interviews (HR call, design lead video call with portfolio review, culture fit & group meeting to discuss take home test) just to get rejected due to my lack of experience with A/B-testing - which I made clear latest in round one (!).
Please be aware that GYG will value data (and your ability to gather it) more than your actual work quality or additional skills like creativity & logical thinking. That is what I must conclude from the feedback which says that they were impressed by my writing & conceptual/strategic approach but in their opinion I did not show sufficient understanding of the metrics to test it.
Although the application process was in general friendly and appreciative, it was time consuming and disappointing in the end. Some aspects should be improved:
Make your priorities clear right from the beginning (and don't "test" applicants further just to gather valuable input). Don't ask questions three times just because there are different people talking to the applicant. Answer questions regarding the take home test - this shows your willingness to invest some more time as you would expect from the applicant. Finally, I had the impression that HR was slightly overchallenged to handle the many appointments.
