I started talking to Genesys through a colleague that works at Genesys in a similar role to the role that I accepted. She solicited my name to her leadership and she told me that they were interested in talking to me, but advised me to be patient with the process. A few weeks later the recruiter setup a "screening" interview and confirmed that the salary range mutually aligned. He then had me speak with the hiring manager --> then to one of the hiring manager's peers --> ultimately to the SVP over the organization that I would be reporting to. All four interviews (including the recruiter) took about a month to complete and was about 2 months from the time that I first spoke with my colleague.
