The phone screen recruiter helped to steer me into a more suitable role than the one I originally applied for.
2nd stage was a general conversation with the hiring manager about the role and my experience. We seemed to mesh well and the role sounded very fitting.
3rd stage involved a take home project which was then used for a live code review with the team. A full stack game implemented from scratch as a RESTful server and clients connecting to it. You could use Python and/or Java.
They said it would take 1-3 hours but I quit with it 80% finished after spending over 10 hours on it. I wrote over 500 LOC and tend to have an above average velocity so I don't think the problem was me being too slow.
I explained that I left it incomplete due to taking much longer than expected, and discussed how I'd implement the rest. I was rejected after this. This was frustrating because I felt like a great fit for the role and I liked the team but they weren't able to see my ability fully because of an incomplete coding project. Big waste of +15 hours in total, counting all the stages and take home work!

Question 1
Create a game using a client-server REST architecture, then join us for a live team code review of it.
I was contacted by the interviewer by email. She got my email from my Linkedin. We had one interview and then three months after they replied me saying that they have reviewed my application and it will no longer be considered. It was a really nice interview though very conducive environment. It was more like a friend chat and that made me very relaxed and confident.
Straightforward, not too difficult. Feedback was pretty quick. The recruiter got back to me within a week or so. Overall it was an enjoyable experience. To be or not to be?
First round is a general call with recruiter, just chat about your experience and about the role.
Second is a 1hr semi technical interview with hiring manager. Goes over your CV, experience, stuff related to the role.
Third is a Technical take home test.
Fourth and final is a review of technical take home test with Hiring manager and senior devs.
