Was flown in day before and stayed at a local hotel in Mystic and provided a rental car all free of charge. Showed up at facility prior to 7:30am and walked into the hiring building, then told to walk a block up the street to get my background check and ID, went back to hiring building and handed the HR person some info including transcript, sat in waiting room for probably a total of 45 min just waiting, then taken on a tour of the shipyard, had an interview with 3 different people in the department (supervisor, manager, tech lead), then finished the visit with a lunch at their cafeteria with one of the lower level engineers. Had to fly back later that day, no ifs, ands, or buts. I was told prior to coming, that I would be interviewing with several departments but when I arrived I was given only one department to interview with. Have not heard back yet after 3.5 weeks. People were very nice, the projects they were working on seemed like good engineering to be a part of. Interviews were casual conversations regarding personal likes/dislikes, current job duties, and your resume. They seemed to focus on college work more than professional experience.
