I applied online and 3 weeks later I got a phone call from HR to schedule a phone interview. The HR guy didn't tell me anything about the details of the interview. It was a 30 min panel interview and they started asking technical questions. However, some of the questions were so irrelevant. Then they asked some questions about my resume and it took about 45 min instead of 30 min!

Applied online during the November of the fall semester of my senior year in mechanical engineering. Had a preliminary phone interview with three to four on-site engineers in the follow March. Questions were fundamental aerospace/aerodynamics/fluid mechanics questions about boundary layers, force/moment calculations, turbulence. Follow-up on-site interview in San Diego consisted of 30 minute technical presentation of previous work to a group of four to five senior engineers followed by a Q&A and tour of the facilities.
