Was contacted via LinkedIn by HR rep at the company for a Sr. Elec. Eng. role at the aircraft mod & cert hanger in Gardner (near HQ in Olathe) and set up time for a phone interview. During phone interview I discussed my history of related work. At on-site interview a couple of weeks later the role had been changed a "certification engineer" role. I wanted to relocate to the area so I accepted this change though I wasn't happy about it. Was told that I had specialized skills that were hard to find and they really wanted me for this new role. I accepted the job offer though was told that, due to my lower number of years of applicable certification experience (which is not an accurate statement) I would get a lower grade level than the job they originally contacted me about. Again, I accepted this so that I could return to the area where the job was located. I felt like the people I dealt with during this process had some kind of personality defects. Under difference circumstances I would have left the on-site interview early due to being effectively lied to.
