Brief non-technical interview with recruiter (well, they asked what a C++ pointer was, but that was it), followed by a technical interview focused mostly on things such as object-oriented concepts, C++ memory stuff, RTOS, threading.

Gave me some code with a class hierarchy. What is the output of this program? (Focused on pointers pointing to other things)
Phone screen was a common tell me about yourself and why Garmin. They didn't ask any follow ups on your answered and seemed to just run through the list of the questions they had.

I had 1hr behavioral Interview and 1hr technical interview. Behavioral interview was about how I got to know the company, why should the company hire me, and what kind of research experience I had.

Process took about a month. Recruiter was slow getting back to me but interview process was alright. The interviewers were friendly and mainly focused on problem solving and how you think through your code.
