One of my management professors at the University of Iowa challenged his students to offer their assistance to a local business/company. Since I became heavily interested in music, I thought I would contact a music business in the Iowa City area. After searching for a temporary internship for a week, I came across Gabe's Oasis and sent their Head Promoter Andrew an email confirming my interest in the organization. Once he and I exchanged several emails, we arranged/scheduled to meet on Monday at 6 PM to discuss the week's events. When I showed up to the first meeting, I instantly received the job and started working for their street team immediately.
