First I received an email to set up a phone interview. The phone interview was about 30 minutes and involved questions about my prior leadership experience. There were a couple situational questions and a lot of going over my resume. Next I was asked to come into the office for testing. The testing involved a multi-tasking, typing, reasoning and personality exam. After that the receptionist tells you whether or not you have passed. I was told I passed and was sent in for a face to face interview with the recruiter. The interview seemed long and was purely situational questions. This was probably the toughest part of the entire process. (don't let me scare you just prepare!) Come up with different examples you'll use from your experience about a angry customer, great/bad customer service, maybe a problem you had encountered at work, a time you had to give feedback, a time you had to convince someone to do something etc. Otherwise it may be difficult to come up with examples on the spot! I got through the interview and was asked to come back for a hour of job shadowing and two more interviews. The job shadowing was neat because I got to see exactly what it was like on the job. (at least for the first area of my program) I then interviewed with two managers. The interview with them was pretty much them just getting to know me! No real tough questions. Last I interviewed with a director and got the job offer! That interview wasn't too bad either; you just have to be yourself and show them that you're fit for the position! I am super excited about starting with GEICO and I highly recommend everyone to apply for the program! The process is a little long but that's because it is a great program and they don't just let anyone in! Just prepare, do your research, and be yourself!
