Formal internal process that mirrors that which external candidates would follow: review with HR, IT and Business Leadership. Was internally nominated to apply then met with would-be peers, would-be managers and HR and business leadership. Some in person and some virtual sessions took place.

They were looking for my ability to move to the next level of seniority. How I handle difficult situations. How I lead, rather than manage, people. My domain expertise, my ability to learn and my knowledge of the product portfolio that we sell to customers and our IT portfolio that supports this.
